About

Guerrilla Ed is a membership site for all your family’s educational requirements and desires.

As well as advice, guidance and training for parents, it also provides professional courses in: English, Mathematics, French, Cursive, Spellings (including US and CAN variants), Math(s) MUSTs, Speech & Drama, and much, much more for you and your children.

(Lessons are a hybrid of both pre-recorded and LIVE sessions, which are also recorded and available as in-app replays).

Originally designed for Home Educators

Although these courses, classes, workshops and even our Guerrilla Ed App were originally designed for Home Educators, (often erroneously called “Home-school” or “Home-schooling” – so, stop doing that, immediately!), as the years have rolled on by, more and more parents of children who are “schooled” (indoctrinated) have come on over to the realisation that their children are no longer being properly educated.

Consequently, a healthy slice of our guerrilla membership is made up of formerly “schooled” children, whose parents tasted Guerrilla Ed and simply couldn’t send their children back to those awful, mediocre, underperforming cesspits of delinquent degenerates… AKA schools.

Alas, the Guerrilla Ed membership is made up of families whose children have never been to school and of those who’ve been schooled even as late as 13-years old… as well as everything in-between. We are a genuinely international organisation with families from all over the English-speaking world.

Guerrilla Ed families currently herald from; the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia and more.

Guerrilla Ed serves families whose children are aged 7-years plus, however if your child has been inside the indoctrination centres beyond 13-years of age, it is likely that their brain-washing is such that they will struggle to adapt to the intellectual, social and emotional maturity required of those children who take responsibility for their own education.

Bottom line: if you want your children to be educated rather than “schooled”, either NEVER send them to school (preferable) or, ensure that you remove them as young as possible but in any case before they turn into “teenagers”.

Guerrilla Ed App

The Guerrilla Ed App is our commitment to sharing the strategies, mechanisms and systems that we have created to help thousands of students over tens of thousands of hours to be successful students across multiple academic and non-academic disciplines.

The GE-App is a bespoke online learning platform for parents and students, it is private, secure and completely ad-free. It is our hub, a hive of activity where parents and students can learn without distraction or interference.

Live classes, workshops, training and GE Events can be accessed in-app as well as over 10,000 pre-recorded tutorials, available 24/7, 365 in subjects such as Maths, English, French, Handwriting (Cursive), Spellings, Speech & Drama and more.

The GE-App is available to Guerrilla Ed Members only.

Guerrilla Ed Memberships are for all of the family; so everyone in your immediate household; usually, Mum, Dad and the children will receive their own logins post-joining.

However, we don’t let just anybody join…

ONLY parents who’ve attended either Rescue Your Children (RYC) or Guerrilla Ed Get Ahead (GEGA) will be invited to join the thriving Guerrilla Ed Clan.

Rescue Your Children

(RYC) is our intensive, flagship training course for parents who are either already thinking about Home Educating or those who have just begun to do so. (Grandparents of school-age children also take this course). Essentially, this is our “Beginners” course.

Guerrilla Ed Get Ahead

(GEGA) is our grandstand, flagship training course for parents who are experienced Home Educators. The course covers advanced teaching and learning methods, delves more deeply into the relationship between individual curriculum and potential future careers as well as honing in on how to nurture and manage the development of excellence. Essentially, this is our “Advanced” course.

Home Educating is a big responsibility and it MUST be taken seriously. It is extremely alarming that when we buy a dog we’ll go on a course, read three books and follow the advice given by the vendor. However, apparently, when it comes to educating the next generation… we’ll just make it up as we go along?! 🤪🤪🤪

WTAF is that all about?!

Here at Guerrilla Ed, we do things properly (or it isn’t worth doing it at all!!)

Rescue Your Children (RYC)

Rescue Your Children (RYC) LIVE

“RESCUE YOUR CHILDREN” will transform you from busy, stressed and “under siege” parents into highly-informed, organised and accomplished designers and directors of your child’s curriculum.

If you’re already Home Educating, then you probably haven’t even realised that you’re the designer as well as the director of your child’s education and if you’re brand new to the idea of educating your own, then this is absolutely the place to begin.

Why must I attend EITHER Rescue Your Children OR Guerrilla Ed Get Ahead before I join Guerrilla Ed?

Guerrilla Ed is unlike any organisation you have ever come across before. You see, we don’t just want your money. We want you to do the work. The education of your children is too important to allow “chequebook parents” to simply throw money at us and in so doing abdicate responsibility for the most precious thing in the world; your child’s mind.

So, show up, do the work, BE THERE LIVE!

Rescue Your Children (RYC) takes place annually.

GEGA usually takes place in April and RYC in August.

If, we are currently recruiting, then you will find sign-up links and full details about the RYC and/or GEGA courses on this website. On the other hand, if you’ve come to us outside of our recruitment periods, then you will find a place to leave us your email address, so that you will be kept informed of our next course dates.

Guerrilla Ed Events

Guerrilla Ed Events are for GE members only and they take place roughly twice per term.

Our most popular GE Event is without doubt the annual Young Guerrillas’ Debate, where teams of children go head-to-head to compete for the title, whilst also learning research skills, audio-visual tech, presentation/public speaking skills as well as teamwork, leadership and communication.

Recent debate topics have been:

“Did dinosaurs really exist?”

and

“Has man ever walked on the moon?”

Our debate is judged by independent adjudicators, may of whom hold or have held professorships at UK/US Universities/Colleges.

Other annual GE Events include;

The GE Annual Conference, where we attract guest lecturers, professors, professional teachers and more from all over the world to present on topics as diverse as the Oedipal Mother, the Great Fire of London Revisited, Ukraine: The Just War and plenty more.

The GE Maths Made Easy Workshop Series, where parents and children alike do battle with abstract and challenging mathematical concepts as well as real-world, bread and butter math(s). Be warned, your progress in maths will sky-rocket after these sessions.

The Young Guerrillas Annual Awards are held each June to recognise and reward Guerrilla Ed students for their achievements in; academics, sports, arts, music, and for their many (and disparate) specialisms such as; circus skills, entrepreneurship, film/theatre, podcasts and a myriad of other valuable pursuits.

The Handwriting/Cursive Workshop Series, where young and old come together to learn the lost art of cursive. Together we learn to write beautifully, not only for aesthetics but also for the development of our neuro pathways in terms of pattern recognition, sequences, codes, lines and form… oh, and A.I. has a really hard time reading it too. Just saying.

Why Home Education and NOT Home Schooling?

Those who talk about home-school or home-schooling have completely misunderstood the crucial difference between “schooling” and “education”.

Your children can either be educated or “schooled” and these things are mutually exclusive.

Schooling has nothing to do with education, so it begs the question: why would you remove your children from school to “school” them at home?

Surely you want to do things differently?

The problems with “schooling” are numerous, however the usual complaints about curriculum, the pushing of government agendas and “teachers” these days being inappropriate role models are not only obvious but don’t come anywhere near to the real dangers of “schooling”.

In his bestselling book Dumbing Us Down, John Taylor Gatto explains the “Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling” revealing the 7 lessons that he’s really required to teach; confusion, class position, indifference, emotional dependency, intellectual dependency, provisional self-esteem and “one can’t hide”.

He lays bare the state’s mechanisms for ensuring the future conformity and compliance of its citizens and Gatto urges parents to understand that:

“The license I have certifies that I am an instructor of English language and English literature, but that isn’t’ what I do at all. I don’t teach English; I teach school – and I win awards doing it.”

What he is trying to explain is that “schooling” is dangerous to children and REAL democracy, that it isn’t the overt but the covert – or implicit – lessons that school is teaching your children that harm them the most and 99.9% of parents simply cannot see it.

Those who make it their business to “home school” or who are going about providing services for “home-schooling” clearly haven’t understood the first thing about either “schooling” or “education”.

Stay away from them, do your own homework and be sure to correct anyone using this grossly incorrect terminology.
